Volcanic Hot Springs

The volcanic hot springs are located near the hill Námafjall. The Námafjall is a volcano and its covered by solfataras and fumaroles. At its base are also both on the west side Reykjahlíð direction and on its eastern side towards Ódáðahraun Möðrudalsöræfi and high temperature areas. Hverarönd is one of the this high temperature fields. Under Möðrudalsöræfi understood to be a part of the Icelandic highlands.

In this high temperature region, there are solfataras, so places where, water vapor, hydrogen sulfide, elemental sulfur and other minerals from the earth. There are plenty of slow or violently boiling mud pools and mud pots and fumaroles of various kinds.
